Hope Springs Park has a huge bluff inside the city limits of Lawrenceburg that runs along Shoal Creek on the old Hwy 64. Across the creek is David Crockett State Park. Hope Springs Park is a very lovely area for fishing and bird watching, and a safe place for children to wade in the water. It has sidewalks along the creek for hiking and a picnic table for a family picnic. Atop this bluff during WWII was a German POW camp. The Old Jail Museum has photos. Hope springs is located beside the water filter system before you cross the bridge to David Crockett State Park on what is the Old Hwy 64, it turns off to the right at the Pettus Funeral Home and goes around to come up beside the filter plant and back to 64 west at the bridge just before the entrance to David Crockett Park.
